WHAT IS CONCRETE AND HOW IS IT MADE?

Concrete is a mixture of cement powder, stone, sand and water. When thoroughly blended in a concrete mixer, the cement and water form a paste, which acts as a glue when it bonds to the stones and sand. A chemical reaction then takes place, called hydration. As that process continues, the paste dries and hardens and gains amazing strength.
